Things to do in the Barossa
Recreation in the Barossa Valley unsurprisingly largely revolves around food and drink, but there are plenty of other activities to enjoy. The official Barossa website has full details of local events, but here are a selection of our favourites:
- OK – let’s get the wine out of the way. Visit local vineyards and wineries, including Peter Lehmann Wines, Langmeil, Richmond Grove, Lambert Estate and Chateau Tanunda
- Enjoy breakfast at Barossa Farmer’s Market, every Saturday 7.30am – 11.30am, Angaston
- Savour a birds eye view of the valley with a selection of helicopter flights from 4 minute experiences to longer adventures
- Marvel at the tranquility of a trip by hot air balloon
- Play a round of mini golf in a dinosaur themed setting at Barossa Bowland
- Bike or walk along the Jack Bobridge Cycle Track
- Tee off at a selection of golf courses, including Barossa Valley Golf Club, Tanunda Pines Golf Club or Sandy Creek Golf Club
- Wander around one of the many art galleries and museums in the area, including The Corroboree Dream Art Gallery or the Barossa Regional Gallery
- Stroll through lavender fields at the Lyndoch Lavender Farm and Cafe
- Exhaust the kids at Barossa Adventure Station in Angaston
- Explore the Barossa Bushgardens
